Description
ERUSTM64-9
640×512 Thermal Imaging Module with Temperature Measurement
Compact Infrared Thermal Imaging Module for Precise Temperature Measurement and Real-Time Thermal Imaging
The ERUSTM64-9 is a compact, high-resolution uncooled infrared thermal imaging module equipped with a 640×512 VOx detector and a 9.1 mm F1.0 lens.
Compared with the ERUTM64-9, the ERUSTM64-9 adds comprehensive temperature measurement capabilities, including spot temperature measurement, area temperature analysis, isotherm detection, and full-screen temperature matrix output.
With a ≤40 mK NETD, 30 Hz frame rate, and 8–14 μm spectral response, the module provides clear and responsive thermal images while supporting quantitative temperature analysis.
Its compact 21 × 21 × 29.47 mm housing and Type-C digital video interface make it suitable for integration into UAV payloads, handheld thermal cameras, robotics, industrial inspection equipment, security systems, and other compact thermal imaging platforms.
High-Resolution Thermal Imaging with Temperature Measurement
The ERUSTM64-9 combines thermal imaging and temperature measurement in a compact module, allowing an integrated system to not only visualize heat distribution but also obtain temperature information from the target.
The 640×512 VOx detector provides detailed thermal imagery, while the F1.0 optical system delivers a 48.3° × 38.7° field of view, making the module suitable for applications requiring a relatively wide thermal observation range.

Quantitative Thermal Measurement
Unlike a conventional thermal imaging module that primarily provides thermal images, the ERUSTM64-9 supports quantitative temperature measurement, allowing thermal information to be used for monitoring, inspection, and decision-making.
Spot Temperature Measurement
The module supports spot temperature measurement, allowing users to monitor the temperature of a specific point within the thermal image.
This function is useful when a system needs to monitor a particular component, surface, object, or potential hot spot.
Area Temperature Measurement
The ERUSTM64-9 supports arbitrary-area temperature measurement.
Users can select an area within the thermal image and obtain:
- Maximum temperature
- Minimum temperature
- Average temperature
This makes the module suitable for applications where temperature distribution across a larger region needs to be evaluated.
Isotherm Detection
The module supports isotherm functionality, allowing areas within a specified temperature range to be highlighted.
This can help system developers identify regions with similar temperature characteristics and improve thermal anomaly detection.
Full-Screen Temperature Matrix
For applications requiring more comprehensive thermal data, the ERUSTM64-9 supports full temperature matrix output.
Instead of obtaining only selected temperature values, the system can access temperature information across the complete thermal image, providing a foundation for more advanced thermal analysis and application-specific algorithms.
640×512 Resolution for Detailed Thermal Imaging
The ERUSTM64-9 uses a 640 × 512 VOx uncooled infrared detector with a 12 μm pixel pitch.
With 327,680 effective thermal pixels, the module can capture significantly more spatial thermal information than lower-resolution thermal modules.
This makes it suitable for applications where both thermal detail and compact system integration are important.
The detector operates across the 8–14 μm long-wave infrared band, enabling the module to detect thermal radiation emitted by objects without requiring visible light.
F1.0 Optical System with 48.3° × 38.7° FOV
The ERUSTM64-9 is equipped with a 9.1 mm focal-length lens with an F1.0 aperture.
The resulting 48.3° × 38.7° field of view provides a relatively wide thermal observation area while maintaining the imaging performance required for compact thermal imaging systems.
The F1.0 optical design also helps provide sufficient infrared energy to the detector, contributing to the module’s thermal imaging performance.
Accurate Temperature Measurement
The ERUSTM64-9 provides two temperature measurement ranges:
-20°C to 150°C
and
0°C to 550°C
The specified temperature measurement accuracy is:
±2°C or ±2%
at a measuring distance of 5 meters.
This allows the module to be integrated into systems that require not only visual thermal information but also measurable temperature data.
Note: Actual temperature measurement performance can be affected by factors such as target emissivity, measuring distance, atmospheric conditions, environmental temperature, and the characteristics of the target surface. System-level calibration and application-specific configuration may be required for demanding measurement applications.
Compact Design for Easy System Integration
With dimensions of only:
21 mm × 21 mm × 29.47 mm
and a weight of just:
22.1 g
the ERUSTM64-9 is designed for applications where available installation space and payload weight are limited.
The compact form factor allows the module to be integrated into existing equipment without requiring a large thermal camera assembly.
The Type-C digital video interface provides a convenient interface for connecting the module with host systems and embedded computing platforms.
Designed for OEM and System Integration
The ERUSTM64-9 is not simply intended to be used as a standalone thermal camera.
Its compact size, digital interface, thermal imaging capability, and temperature measurement functions make it suitable as an infrared sensing component for system developers and OEM manufacturers.
It can be integrated into different hardware platforms according to the requirements of the final application.
Potential applications include:
- UAV Thermal Imaging
- Security & Surveillance
- Industrial Inspection
- Robotics Vision
- Fire Detection
- Search & Rescue
- Marine Observation
- Automotive & ADAS
